Nursery facilities
The Oxford Nursery at Littlemore Park is housed in a purpose built building designed by Early Years specialists around children's needs. The building has a warm family atmosphere providing individual areas for children of all ages to have separate areas and common areas for fun activities, messy play and eating. The versatile interiors have been designed to give children in our care a stimulating and comfortable environment. From child-friendly, low-level windows to specifically designed furniture, we aim to make all children safe and happy from the moment they arrive.
Our baby rooms contain a vast array of both soothing and stimulating objects and toys - a great way to explore the senses away from the older more mobile children for those quiet moments of holistic play.
Older children can enjoy outdoor grassy play areas and a wide range of facilities and activities. Each room has the benefit of direct access to the garden.
Safety is always a priority. Every detail has been considered, including finger guards on doors, air ducts or ceiling heating instead of radiators, high plug sockets and strict controls on nursery access.
The Oxford Nursery operates three separate units to ensure that your child is cared for in suitable surroundings, and mixes with children of similar age and ability:
- Fresher: From birth to age 2
- Sophomores: Age 2 - 3
- Scholars: Age 3 - 5
The large Atrium provides all the rooms with a great wet/messy play area. The children's toilets and changing areas are all easy for staff and parents to access. An office provides privacy for discussions with parents, whilst the kitchen allows for the preparation of fresh meals each day. The outside kitchen area is set up for the children to experience cooking for themselves. The main entrance is always kept locked and can only be released from the inside, which ensures that all visitors are vetted before they have access to the children's rooms.
A private care park adjacent to the building provides easy access for parents dropping off and collecting their children.
